Preventing, Identifying and Reporting Financial Exploitation of the Elderly

June is Senior Safe month here at the Division of Financial Regulation. As such, we are focusing our energy towards efforts to protect Oregon's seniors from fraud and financial abuse through education, outreach and consumer advocacy.

On Thursday June 29 we will be hosting a unique training event at our office in Lake Oswego. While this training is originally designed for investment brokers and financial advisors, it may be of great value to you.

The free training will be lead by DFR staff as well as representatives for Oregon's Department of Justice, Oregon Department of Health and Human Services, and the Federal Trade Commission. Its focus is on Preventing, Identifying and Reporting Financial Exploitation of the Elderly.

We have less than 60 seats left and have chosen to open up enrollment of this class to the public and would invite you and anyone you think would benefit from it to sign up.

You can find more information on this class and enroll here: https://dcbs_dfr_seniorsafe.eventbrite.com
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Kevin Jeffries
